Solus knew, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that he was in love. How else could he explain the strange emotions coursing through his entire being?
Fluttering heartbeats at her laugh…
"Hi! I'm Eevee!" she said, a smile on her face. "Let's be friends!"
"Okay!" he responded. "I'm Eevee, too!"
"Tag!" she yelled, hitting him in the face with a tail-whip. "You're it!"
He laughed. "Alright!"
She took off into the forest and he pursued as fast as his four legs would allow. The trees blurred by as they ran. Time passed quickly. The trees stopped, and they found themselves in a clearing. He could see her far ahead, almost to the edge of the cl
Chapter Two
'Friendship... A wonderful thing...'
Via and I run about inside my home, chasing each other in a violent game of tag. The pitter-patter of rain sounds from the shingles on the roof. I tag the cyndaquil and start to flee, laughing all the while. Pieces of furniture lay scattered about the house, though nothing is broken. Mama would kill me if that were the case – well, give me a stern talking to, but it's much the same. Via laughs, chasing me into my room.
She freezes at the sight as I stand on my bed. The room is fairly large for a one-pokemon bedroom, but it's no larger than any other in the house. What she's truly in awe o
"Hey," said a voice. "Hey, Mario, wake up!"
Mario jumped out of his seat, wondering how he had managed to fall asleep in the first place.
"What's going on?" he asked. He struggled to wake up, barely managing to say those three words.
"Didn't you hear any of what I said?"
Mario turned to the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. He bit his lip as she stared at him expectantly.
"Um..."
"You're such a man. I bet you were dreaming about the food in Spectra, weren't you?" Princess Peach asked, hands on her hips.
"Heh, yeah. Sorry, Peach. What were you saying?" Mario prompted while rubbing the back of his neck. His mind was still on the food, however.
Ahem! Today...
I am going to tell you the story of the Prince of Colors...
It is said that in a land far off from our own and a time far in the past, a magnificent kingdom ruled.
The kingdom was prosperous. The people were happy. No one wanted for anything.
But...
The surrounding kingdoms wanted it for their own.
Wars leveled the kingdoms, and the land was left desolate.
The people, deprived of hope, lost their color.
The land, feeding off the energy of the people, lost its color.
The king prayed to the stars for a solution, and the prayers were answered.
"Here are seven Essences of Color," said the eldest of the Star Spirits.

Chapter One
'The winds of change are blowing...'
Darkness. It keeps all sight in the dark. Where light is hope, darkness is despair. They are opposites, each a different side of the same coin. Neither exists without the other.
Who am I?
Heat. Life's blood. Warmth. Without it, I feel cold. Without heat, the cold wins. They are opposites, two sides of the same coin. Neither exists without the other.
What am I?
This space is cramped. Far too small for me. Perhaps I am being contained for growth. No, that seems far too preposterous.
What is this liquid I sit in? It's not cold, like I expected. Rather, it's warm.
Gah! Accursed stomach! How am I to
Prologue
A fell wind blows on this day most black. I understand it not, for the very essence o' the heavens weeps upon yonder daybreak. Why dost that vile fiend pursue me? What deed of mine own hast cast this fate upon my very soul?
The air snaps with a great bellow before becoming still. The pounding emanating from my chest is sure to alert my pursuer. Methinks that if I cast my body not into silence, I am surely dead, in sooth!
The stillness with which my heart finds comfort departs rather abruptly. With it flees my body and soul. Amazing, this power of instinct embedded within the many souls o' the land. My body flees of no command of mine
